Features
* KSV's CAM 200 is a video camera based an fully
computer controlled contact angle meter for the
measurement of static or dynamic (advancing/receding)
contact angles (DCA). Furthermore, surface &
interfacial tension (SFT & IFT) measurements can be
performed using the pendant drop or raising drop
technique. The open design of the CAM 200 makes it an
ideal instrument for special customised applications.
The instrument has a 32-bit Windows
based software, which allows analysis of contact angles,
critical surface tension (Zisman plot) and surface free
energy (SFE) of solids (Fowkes, Wu, Acid-Base).
Determination of contact angle and surface tension is
based on true Young & Laplace equation. Instead of
using separate files for each measurement the software
contains an internal database system where all the
recorded data is stored. This allows a convenient method
to keep all the data organized for future analysis. To
save space recordings are saved using our proprietary
image compression which retains all important
information. There are separate databases for liquids
and solids where all information about the test
materials is be stored and can easily be changed or
updated
