* A portable instrument for the measurement of the solids content and 
  top level setting properties of  waste water in basins and tanks.
* The detector is lowered into the liquid to be tested and depending 
  on the solids content the bar-graph responds. Upon reaching 
  the sludge sediment the LED display changes from green to red indicate 
  this point.
* An acoustic message supports this process and the audible tone changes 
  from an intermittent to a continuous tone when the sludge sediment 
  zone is reched.
* The depth of each layer (clear water, sediment layer) can be read 
  directly from the cable in steps  of 0.5 m.
* The measuring head consists of an impact-resistant plastic housing and is 
provided with a special LED light source. The lightbeam strikes the 
  photodiode on the opposite side.
* The instrument quickly supplies information about the depth of 
  the sludge-layer in a sedimentation basin.
